      Its fantastic to have the inspections back in the UK this year on September 14th
        (www.fhagbi.co.uk for further details). The Dutch inspectors have kindly agreed
        to inspect Femma for Krown Predikat / Model which is far better for her than having
        to travel over to Holland again for the Central Mare Show. Also coming with us to
        the inspections will be Hidde who was awarded STAR at the last UK inspections in
        2006. He's not coming for inspection - this time he will be taking part in a display!

June 2008 - Femma in foal to Arjen 417

      After last years disappointment when Femma lost her foal mid term to Onne,
        this year we have successfully put her to Arjen 417, winner of the Dutch National
        Championship 4th level dressage in 2007. With Femma's fantastic dressage scores
        last year in her IBOP we very much look forward to the new arrival in February
        next year..

      Both Hoitze and Droomwals were called up for modelling assignments this month.
        Droomie' had the pleasure of a glamorous model on his back for some fabulous
        photo's taken by top London photographer Phil Poynter. Meanwhile Hoitze had to
        settle for me on his back as he posed for some shots for a top branded clothing
        company. Keep an eye on our photo gallery for the finished pictures soon.

      Femma placed 5th in her group of 4 - 7 year old mares at the Central Mare show
        in Leeuwarden. Sadly, on this occassion she was not selected to receive the
        prestigious Model status. Of the 15 mares awarded Model, only two were under
        7 years old and had been placed 1st and 2nd in Femma's group. It will be
        tempting to try again another year when Femma is a little older but it can be
        a very expensive exercise from the UK. For now we will just be concentrating
          on getting her in foal next year, hopefully without having to send her over
          to Holland again!
