Hoitze (Tetse) Gelding - 16.2hh (b.2002)

Hoitze is a solid and imposing horse, standing at 16.2hh. He loves to be center of attention and thrives on any adulation. A stallion until 2008 we decided to geld him because, unlike his stablemates, he knew his strength and was just a little too boisterous for his own good. The effect was immediate and fortunately Hoitze didn’t lose all his “sparkle” and is now worth his weight in gold. He has proved an invaluable asset and will happily babysit other stallions, geldings or mares without ever letting them push his patience too far.

Hoitze can be quite an exciting ride in the right circumstances. However, he is particulary happy when given the responsibility of looking after an inexperienced rider or child so is often used to give visitors and friends a “taster” of what it is like to ride a Friesian.

When paired up with Droomie in the carriage they are a spectacular sight to behold.
