FOR SALE - Anja (Ait 410 x Time 398)

We first met Anja when she was just 4 months old when she came all the way down from Aberdeenshire to be inspected at the Gradings in 2008.  She was like a little china doll with the most fabulous presence and movement to die for!  When she went round the arena she well and truly owned it!  Naturally, she was awarded the highest award of a 1st Premie.  Now usually a foal will not be invited back in for the Championship of the day, however, the inspectors thought she was so special she came in to contest the championship and was placed Reserve Champion 2008 (only beaten by our Femma!!)

Later that year we heard that Melanie was having to sell most of her horses due to unforeseen circumstances.  Naturally there was a lot of interest in Anja but for one reason or another the right home was not coming along for her.  Melanie contacted us and asked if we would consider taking her on as she was desperate for her to go to someone who would make the most of her.  We hadn’t been looking to buy anything in at the time but having fallen in love with her at the Gradings, we knew we would be foolish to say no!

Anja turned three last year and was maturing into a very beautiful horse.  so we felt she was ready to be graded to go into the studbook. To her absolute credit she did less than a month of very light work and despite being a few pounds overweight on the day, looked a million dollars. She was awarded 2nd Premie STER, followed by BEST MARE and finally the icing on the cake was being awarded BEST IN SHOW. Anja has a wonderful, kind temperament and, like most Friesians adores attention!  and now just needs the right home to come along where she will be the centre of attention. She has had a bit of a break since the gradings and will be backed Jan/Feb time.
