Horse Drawn Carriage Services
Black
Horses provide a bespoke Horse Drawn Carriage service covering Central and Northern
England. Our magnificent Friesian Stallions and carriages, that have been built to
our exact specifications, will not fail to impress. We guarantee exclusive use of the
horses and carriage on the day so you can relax and enjoy the moment
without worrying we are rushing off to another location.. For
weddings we include a full display of fresh flowers
(of your choice) on the carriage so you can be sure of consistency in
your
colour scheme. As you enter the carriage you will be served chilled Champagne in silver
goblets to be enjoyed during the journey. This is usually Lanson Black
Label but others are available on request. Not only are our horses and
carriage immaculately turned out, our drivers and grooms will be dressed in
full, matching, traditional livery to provide a complete image of classical
elegance. Our aim is to help make this a memorable day and where possible we

When considering a horse and carriage please bear in mind that our
horses can pull the carriage a total of 7 miles per day. This is
subject to the road conditions (ie hills, rough terrain) however we
will always personally check a route once a booking has been made to
avoid any disappointments on the day. If your planned route is
further, you may like to consider spliiting the journey with another
form of transport.

We
have a range of carriages available for hire, all of which are
clasically finished in black with brass fittings and either black
leather or gold upholstery. Whichever carriage you select it will be
pulled by one or two of our magnificent Friesian Stallions. For

| Glass Fronted Landau |
|
| The Landau is an elegant Carriage with seating
for four. The beauty of this Carriage is that it can be used in all
weathers. Because of the glass front, passengers are still able to
enjoy a good view from the carriage when the weather is unkind and
the roof needs to be raised. The hood and glass front folds neatly
away in fine weather. |

| Antique Continental Phaeton |
|
| More compact than the Landau with seating
for two and a hood for bad weather. Very pretty Carriage that can
be used with one or two horses. |

| Continental Break |
|
A very sturdy and imposing Carriage - offers
room for up to 6 people on high set seating, giving everyone a fantastic
view of their surroundings. A perfect vehicle to transport other members of your wedding party.

We believe the quality of the carriage is a
vital ingredient but even more so, the horses. Our Purebred Friesian Stallions are superb specimens of their breed and
were selected for their temperaments and "look at me" attitudes. They have so much presence and elegance they
will take your breath away. Put them in
front of our Glass Landau, Phaeton or Continental Break Carriages and you're
guaranteed a truly spectacular sight.
Our horses receive the very best
of care and nutrition all year round and want for nothing, their health and
wellbeing ensures they are fit and happy to undertake the work asked of
them. Every horse has a training regime
to suit their individual needs to ensure they are able to carry out their work
in any conditions
Our Drivers and Qualifications
Our
drivers have been trained by British Driving Society Qualified Instructors and
as a very minimum hold the BDS Preliminary certificate and are qualified to
drive horses on the public highways. Our
business is approved by the Chairman of the BDS, Mr. John Parker
